The board isn't dead.
It needs a specialist.
Component-level logic board repair for MacBooks, iPhones, and laptops. Charging IC, GPU reballing, USB-C controller, PMIC, baseband chip โ we repair the failing component directly, not the whole board. Fraction of Apple's cost. Free assessment.
Most "board replacement" diagnoses
are actually single-component failures.
Click your symptom to see the likely failing component, whether board replacement is needed (usually not), and what we check.
What component-level repair means for your device.
We replace the specific failing IC โ not the whole board. Fraction of the cost, same result.
From failed board to repaired device.
Microscope-level diagnosis. Component identification using schematics. Micro-soldering repair. 90-day warranty.
Most shops replace the board
when a component fails.
When a charging IC, GPU, or USB-C controller fails, most repair shops say "logic board replacement needed" โ because they don't have micro-soldering capability. A board replacement on a MacBook can cost $600โ$1,200. The same result from component-level repair: $150โ$400.
Component-level repair requires schematic diagrams, BGA reballing equipment, microscope-level soldering tools, and the expertise to use them. We have all of these in-house at our Surrey lab.
Component-level repair for every device.
MacBook, iPhone, laptop โ all logic board and motherboard repair in-house at Surrey lab.
Component-level repair.
Most shops can't do this.
Micro-soldering under magnification requires equipment and expertise most repair shops don't have. We do it in-house.
What to do — and what to avoid.
- Get a free diagnostic before accepting "unrepairable" verdict from any shop
- Document exactly what symptoms appeared and when โ helps component diagnosis significantly
- Check if device charges on different ports or cables before assuming charging IC failure
- Water damage? Bring in immediately โ corrosion on board components is time-critical
- Ask us directly before paying for a board replacement โ we'll tell you honestly if component repair is possible
- Attempt micro-soldering without professional equipment โ wrong tools cause board damage
- Use a consumer soldering iron on IC chips โ flux-free iron at wrong temperature destroys pads
- Accept "logic board replacement" as the only option without a second opinion
- Apply isopropyl alcohol without knowing what you're doing โ can spread corrosion to dry areas
- Attempt GPU reballing with consumer heat gun โ requires calibrated hot air station for BGA work
