Do not put a water-damaged
phone in rice. Ever.
Rice does not draw moisture out of the interior of a phone. What it actually does: delays proper treatment for 24–48 hours while corrosion actively spreads across the logic board. The phone may "work" when it comes out of the rice bag — and fail completely three days later as corrosion reaches more critical components.
The correct action is to power off the phone immediately and bring it to us. Same-day intake. Early treatment dramatically improves outcomes.
